Socializing for Seniors

I live in Toronto. There is a lot for Seniors to do and socializing if very good for Seniors.

First of all, there are lots of Probus Clubs in Toronto. Go to their site and put in Toronto opposite “Zoom”, press enter and lots of Toronto Clubs will come up. The one problem is that they do have waiting lists and once you get on the list, it may take a year to be able to join. There is an annual fee. They have lots of activities all run by members.

You can join Meet Up in Toronto. Once you join you can say what you like to do and join a group. Generally, you will be charged a nominal fee to be at an event. It is free to join meetup and it is free to join a group.

There is also UK Connexion in Toronto. It is for single older adults. You do not have to be British. There is a $5 fee for each event.

All these clubs meet for socializing. They met for lunch, dinner or at a pub. They all have walks. There are also events like going to the movies, plays, opera, ballet. There are also bus trips to different places, like Niagara on the Lake or Strafford for plays. With meetup, there are lots of different groups, so whatever you like to do, there is probably a group for that. The Probus and UKC have members organize events.
